The Coriolis Mass Flow Meter “Type V” (PTCMF) is used across a wide range of industrial applications, including the food, pharmaceutical, oil, gas, petrochemical, and even natural sciences sectors.
Coriolis mass flow meters are capable of measuring most fluids in partial, slurry, and high-viscosity conditions, including detergents, vegetable and animal oils, crude oil, plant syrups, alcohols, and even gases.
Simultaneous measurement of mass flow, density, and temperature by Coriolis mass flow meters opens new opportunities for improving industrial process control, enhancing product quality, and increasing operational safety.
Sizes of Coriolis Mass Flow Meter “Type V”
PrismaTech Coriolis mass flow meters are available in various sizes ranging from DN 8 to DN 50. The measuring tubes are made of stainless steel AISI 316L. These flow meters are equipped with an ARM Cortex M7 processor and a 320×240 TFT LCD display.
In the mechanical structure of the Coriolis mass flow meter with a dual U-shaped tube design, an electromagnetic actuator is located at the center of the tubes, and two velocity sensors are placed on either side. When the actuator is properly controlled, the tubes begin to vibrate at their structural resonance frequency.
By measuring the vibration frequency and applying temperature calibration, the density of the fluid passing through the U-shaped tubes can be determined with high accuracy. Meanwhile, as the fluid flows through the tubes, a phase difference occurs between the two sensors, and the magnitude of this difference is proportional to the mass flow rate. Therefore, by measuring the phase shift between the magnetic sensors, the mass flow rate can be precisely determined. Once the mass flow rate and density are known, the volumetric flow can also be calculated.
